Reader Question: What are your favorite at-home beauty tools?

Reader, don’t get me wrong: I love skin-care and hair products and makeup like it’s my job (I guess I’m on the right career path). But if I could only invest in one beauty arena, it’d have to be at-home tools. Why, you ask? Beauty tools don’t run out, never expire, and — if you choose wisely — have the power to level-up your entire routine.

I’ve tried more than a few in my day, including vibrating flatirons, mechanized exfoliators, and sonic face massagers. But below are four I find myself turning to time and time again.

The Face Roller

If you’re just dipping your toes into the world of beauty devices, a face roller is a good place to start. The tool is said to ease muscle tension, boost circulation, and temporarily reduce puffiness. I suggest you begin with a jade roller (there are options available for every budget), but if you, like me, find face rolling leaves your cheekbones lifted and your mind soothed, you might consider investing in MDNA Skin The Beauty Roller for Eyes.

Despite its name, I use mine all over my face: The size is perfect for around the jawline, and I swear the double roller action leaves me looking more sculpted.
