Ariana Grande Is Embracing Her Naturally Curly Hair During Self-Isolation — Photo

Beauty, Hair

Spending so much time at home — and away from our favorite stylists and colorists — has inspired a wide array of hair decisions everyday folks and celebrities alike. Some can’t resist the temptation of cutting coloring their hair themselves (sometimes a good idea, sometimes not so much), while others have decided to essentially do nothing and go back to their roots, literally, by letting their grays grow in untouched. For Ariana Grande, while she’s separated from pros like Chris Appleton who help make her signature high, sleek, extension-stretched ponytail happen, it’s all about embracing her rarely-seen natural curls.

On Monday, March 30, Grande shared a cute selfie to Instagram showing that she’s currently wearing her natural curls and dark brown color. And she definitely knew fans would love it because she wrote in the caption, “Get a load a dis.”

In the photo, Grande rests her chin on her hand — she appears to be wearing a classic French manicure — while her brown curls cascade well past her shoulders. Some shorter pieces up front hang in front of her eyes, which are fully lined in winged black liner.

Fans are obsessed, of course, and that includes fellow celebrities. “Here for this covid curl,” Katy Perry wrote in the comments. Other celebrities couldn’t find the words, leaving just enthralled emojis like Tracee Ellis Ross’s “💕💕💕” and Zoey Deutch’s “😍” comments.

Seeing Grande’s curly hair has become the Halley’s comet of the beauty world: We know it exists, it’s rarely seen, and when it finally comes around, it’s stunning. We’ve gotten a few glimpses of her curls over the last few of years, usually in filtered selfies and short-lived Instagram Stories (as opposed to onstage during performances), like in August 2019 when stylist Josh Liu praised Grande for letting her natural curls grow in and when they peeked out under a hat on the cover of Vogue.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before Grande gives us more looks at her natural texture because we can’t get enough of gorgeous stay-at-home hair inspo.
